Semple Mansion captivates guests with its diverse and enchanting spaces, perfect for every aspect of a wedding celebration. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an elegant historic staircase directly ahead, the ceremony space (the Grand Foyer) to the right, and an inviting bar area connected to a cozy library featuring a wood-burning fireplace to the left.

Downstairs, guests can explore remarkable spaces like the hidden "speakeasy" bar and the sophisticated Wine Grotto. The groom’s suite, a comfortable and stylish "man-cave," is conveniently located downstairs, along with the unique addition of an on-site beauty salon, Luminous Beauty, for hair and makeup needs. Upstairs, the beautifully designed bridal suite awaits, and at the very top, the breathtaking Grand Ballroom offers an ideal setting for dinner.

Getting Ready for the Wedding Ceremony

Semple Mansion thoughtfully ensures privacy and comfort on your special day. The groom and groomsmen can relax in their dedicated downstairs suite, while the bridal party enjoys the cheerful, bright bridal suite upstairs. Convenient parking is available just across the street at the Park Nicollet lot (available from 9 am on weekends, reservation required at an additional fee). Couples also benefit from having Luminous Beauty salon right on-site for professional hair and makeup services.

Wedding Ceremony

The indoor-only ceremony in the Grand Foyer eliminates the worry of weather-related contingency plans. Filled with abundant natural light and timeless charm, the foyer offers an intimate and memorable ceremony setting. Couples may choose to enhance the ambiance with piano music or discreetly located DJ equipment nearby.

Cocktail Hour

Immediately following the ceremony, guests transition smoothly across the hall to the sophisticated Copper Lounge & Library or downstairs to the captivating speakeasy. Additionally, the Wine Grotto can be configured with food stations or extra seating, allowing your guests to effortlessly mingle and explore.

Dinner

Dining at Semple Mansion is an unforgettable experience in the opulent Grand Ballroom, highlighted by a magnificent domed ceiling, exquisite historic artwork depicting the Semple family, beautiful stained glass windows, and unique decor elements. Accommodating up to 250 guests, the ballroom offers versatile seating arrangements ideal for dinner and later, for enjoying post-dinner festivities. Couples can select from eight distinguished catering providers, ensuring a delightful dining experience tailored to their tastes.

Dancing & Celebration

For dancing and celebrations, couples can choose between the spacious Grand Ballroom or the elegant Grand Foyer. Regardless of choice, guests have the freedom to enjoy the full mansion throughout the evening, and venue staff will seamlessly manage any necessary transitions or room setups.

Additional Details

An important note: Semple Mansion generally discourages children at weddings, allowing only immediate family members' children, and even then, numbers are preferred minimal. This is due to the multiple staircases and extensive guest mobility throughout the venue. Rentals include generous venue access from 9 am to midnight (a fantastic 15-hour reservation), along with security, tables, chairs, and dedicated day-of venue staff.
