We recently had the pleasure of touring Urban Daisy, nestled between the Como and Mid-City Industrial neighborhoods in Minneapolis, MN. From our perspective as wedding planners and officiants, this venue truly offers everything needed for a magical and memorable wedding day.
Urban Daisy is a venue filled with abundant natural light and thoughtfully integrated floral arrangements, creating a seamless aesthetic that feels fully customized, without the hassle of extensive setup or teardown. With two distinctive ceremony seating arrangements, an impressive eleven arbor options, flexible table layouts, and bespoke décor elements, Urban Daisy ensures each wedding feels uniquely tailored to the couple.
The venue comfortably accommodates weddings ranging from intimate gatherings of 70-100 guests (a size we particularly love for creating meaningful experiences) up to larger celebrations of up to 270 guests. Urban Daisy describes their venue as memorable, modern, and thoughtful, sentiments we wholeheartedly agree with. They've expertly balanced modern design with warmth and comfort, resulting in an inviting atmosphere.
One of our absolute favorite features is their optional childcare service. For $75 per hour, you can reserve a dedicated kids' room staffed by Urban Daisy, allowing parents to relax and enjoy the festivities knowing their little ones are well cared for. How amazing is that?
Getting Ready
Urban Daisy includes a generous 12-hour reservation with flexible start times, ideal for getting ready onsite. The bridal and groom suites are thoughtfully stocked with snacks, spacious dressing areas, and entertainment options, including a karaoke speaker and even a golf arcade game in the groom's suite. The bridal suite includes a dedicated bathroom, ensuring privacy and ease as the couple prepares separately before their first look.
Ceremony Space
The indoor ceremony space features elegant white accents complemented by sleek black detailing for a contemporary feel. Large windows flood the area with natural light, while the choice between rustic wood x-back chairs or modern clear ghost chairs allows couples to personalize their aesthetic. With numerous anchor points for floral arrangements or décor, and a secret entrance for the bridal and groom parties, the ceremony experience is both stylish and practical.
Cocktail Hour
Following the ceremony, guests seamlessly transition to the cocktail hour area, separated by a stylish, open garage door. This beautiful, lounge-like space offers cozy seating areas, a stunning bar serviced by Urban Daisy’s preferred vendors, and eye-catching floral installations, including a lush moss wall and a breathtaking suspended floral centerpiece with elegant chandeliers. Unique touches like a disco-ball wall, swings, and an upstairs mezzanine offer diverse spaces for guests to socialize, relax, and take memorable photos.
Dinner Reception
As guests enjoy cocktail hour, Urban Daisy and the catering team transform the ceremony space into an inviting dining area. With numerous table arrangement options tailored to each couple’s needs, dinner at Urban Daisy can truly reflect the style and scale of your celebration. The venue maintains a list of preferred caterers, but they’re flexible with accommodating outside vendors, including food trucks, for couples seeking something unique. Couples are encouraged to closely coordinate with their caterer for seamless service.
Dancing & Celebration
To cap off the night, guests return to the cocktail hour space for dancing and festivities. This versatile area accommodates both lively parties and relaxed conversation, perfectly adapting to your desired atmosphere, whether a band or DJ leads the entertainment, the vibe promises to be memorable.
